Psalm 23 explained (Happy Sergi?)

The Lord is my Shepherd
That's Relationship!

I shall not want
That's Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
That's Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters
That's Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul
That's Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
That's Guidance!

For His name sake
That's Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
That's Testing!

I will fear no evil
That's Protection!

For Thou art with me
That's Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me
That's Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies
That's Hope!

Thou annointest my head with oil
That's Consecration!

My cup runneth over
That's Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
That's Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
That's Security!

Forever
That's Eternity!

Face it, the Lord is CRAZY about you!

Purple Hats

In honour of women's history month and in memory of Erma Bombeck who lost her fight with cancer.
Here is an angel sent to watch over you.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck
(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my new clothes and not worried about grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner.
"There would have been more "I love you's.
" More "I'm sorry's."

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it .
live it and never give it back.
Stop sweating the small stuff.
Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.
Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.
Let's think about what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally.

Random facts...

5 RANDOM CHILDHOOD STORIES THAT ARE TRUE AND RANDOM TO SHARE WITH ALL WHO READ THIS! AND WHOEVER I ADD TO THE BOTTOM HAS TO SHARE THERE 5 RANDOM STORIES I GOT THIS IDEA FROM Leanna who got it from Aimee :-) ENJOY!

1. When i was in Kindergarten i used to pinch this one girl who was my friend (what a friend i was) just to make her cry so i could pretend that she was my baby... Very random and very wierd, i cant even believe i did that!

2. I went to boarding school for six years from the age of 12-17, those were some of the best times and some of the worst times of my life. I only seem to remember the good stuff though, how cool is that hahaha

3. I jumped of a waterfall into a river in South Africa when we did Ys Rivier (translated ice river) which was one of the camps we could go on at boarding school. We had to jump with all our camping gear cause that was the only way of getting to the next stage of the camp, it was so darn SCARY but so fun! When we got to the next stage of the camp we found that we would be sleeping on nothing but smooth rocks for the rest of the night, that was such a wild camp!

4. My bloodline consists of African, German, Mauritian and English.

5. I wanna go to Mykonos Greek Islands for my honeymoon :-)

The Word...

Hello Everyone
Well it certainly has been a while!
I have been either busy, lazy, doing assignments or something else and so my blog has taken a back seat for a while...

And also maybe i just didnt have anyhting to write about hahaha

But yesterday i found something to write about, something that it worth writting about so here goes.

Yesterday arvo my friend Vanessa messaged me and invited me to come to Southside church, she said there was this pastor from Africa that was preaching that had been preaching there for the last three days, she then mentioned that there were healings and miracles that took place in the service as well. So i told Greg about it and we were like REALLY REALLY tired yesterday and so we ummed and ahhhhd about it and then Greg said no lets go and so we did. We were interested in seeing the miracles and so we thought we would go along, even though it was in WOOP WOOP Armadale!

Well let me tell you, it was SO worth it!
We got alot more that just seeing miracles, we got a word straight from God...
We learnt about the word and the importanc eof it, and how we are POWERFUL because we have the FULLNESS of God in us! We learnt not to give Satan the opportunity to trap us by distracting us, and that He will try anything and everything to do so, we learnt that we do not need to allow ourselves to be depressed or to let unforgiveness creep in because we are children of God and we are too good for those things of darkness.
Let me tell you it was life changing, but once again it is not up to God to do the work but us, we have to draw near to Him and then He will inturn draw near to us! There is no easy way around this... If we want to be POWER PACKED, DEVIL stomping on FIRE Children of God we need to feed on His wird daily, pray like JEsus did and LIVE what we read in the word! We need to let it become heart knowledge not just head knowledge, because when it is in our heads it is useless!

The man preaches with the power of God on every word, he was vibrant and enthusiastic and on FIRE! And he set us on FIRE!

He will be preching tonight, tomorrow night and Friday night that is the 9th, 10th and 11th of November 2005 at lakeside church in janjibup, i am not sure where that is but if you can get there, then GET THERE!!!!

Take care y'all

And hopefully there will be more to be said soon

Love Des
